Each time i start the player it goes to 100% and i typically have the music volume lower (as more of a background) and i am regularly having to pull the volume down. Instead i would like for it to start up on a previously set volume percentage. Is that possible?

Can you check the Windows Logs (Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer / Windows Logs / Application), see if there is an event related to strawberry.exe after you quit strawberry.

It should remember the volume. What version are you using, and what OS?
