<p dir="auto">I got this error message when trying to play an m4a, VLC and audacious can play it without issue. I guess the issue might be in the filename or the tag, since it's in some Asian language, think is Japanese.</p>

It looks like it's using the wrong codec (qtdemux), if the file really is aac/mp4 audio not video.<br />
You are probably missing the gstreamer mp4/aac plugin. You need either faad or fdkaac (part of gst-plugins-bad), but some distros might not ship them by default.</p>
