<p dir="auto">in the old days, Amarok used to have the very nice feature of "<a href="http://Last.fm" rel="nofollow ugc">Last.fm</a> suggested songs playlist", where it populated a playlist continously, based on <a href="http://Last.fm" rel="nofollow ugc">Last.fm</a>'s "suggested songs". This created a very good playlist from your library, based on audioscrobble database statistics.</p>
<p dir="auto">It was implemented in <a href="https://github.com/KDE/amarok/blob/0e15bdf35d6b7b67c77ce2571a2fadc2adc43ec3/ChangeLog#L5163" rel="nofollow ugc">Amarok 1.2</a>, and then changed in <a href="https://github.com/KDE/amarok/blob/0e15bdf35d6b7b67c77ce2571a2fadc2adc43ec3/ChangeLog#L4942" rel="nofollow ugc">Amarok 1.3</a> to "Dynamic mode"</p>
<p dir="auto">This is discussed in <a href="https://www.pling.com/p/1135474/" rel="nofollow ugc">this post</a> from 12 years ago from the Amarok 1.x scripts page.</p>
<p dir="auto">It could be used the <a href="http://Last.fm" rel="nofollow ugc">Last.fm</a> API: <a href="https://www.last.fm/api/show/track.getSimilar" rel="nofollow ugc">track.getSimilar</a>, given that the API is already implemented in Strawberry.</p>
<p dir="auto">I never understood why this feature was removed from Amarok... it is like the Genius playlists from iTunes.</p>
<p dir="auto">Thanks<br />
Edgar</p>
