I don't have Wi-Fi at home, rather I won't have Wi-Fi at home.  Running Strawberry on dedicated machine with Fedora 34.   My other computer (laptop) uses Linux Mint.  I'm not sure is there is perhaps a piece of software already available that may enable this.  I would only need to be able to change track or album.   I must say I am delighted with the sonic upgrade I has used J River for years which was not it'self at fault, rather it was attributed to the notoriously noisy windows operating systems.</p>

You can ssh with commandline options or MPRIS2/qdbus.</p>
