<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><rss xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom" version="2.0"><channel><title><![CDATA[Strawberry is a bargain]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">Seeing a number of complaints about Jonas basically putting Strawberry on a subscription model for Windows (it's been that way for Mac for a while), and I just want to say that I have <em>zero</em> problem paying $5/month for a music player that isn't perfect but does a lot more of what I want than anything else I've found. I've developed software for a living and have a good idea of how much work goes into something like Strawberry and I'm happy to support future development of it.</p>

If you actually pay to keep the player updated on windows or mac it might be the most expensive consumer media player on market at $60/yr and <a class="mention plugin-mentions-user plugin-mentions-a" href="https://forum.strawberrymusicplayer.org/uid/1">@jonas</a> doesn't event take feature requests.</p>
<p dir="auto">I like the player a lot but the pricing is wild.</p>

Although Strawberry was conceived a fork of Celementine and Amarok, at this point, it's safe to say that the software has evolved into its own entity, given the number of functions added through the years.</p>
<p dir="auto">In other words: Yeah, I agree. Is quite a bargain considering the hard work invested.</p>
