method for up-mix stereo to 5.1 / 7.1

Hello, first let me say, no other music player is as good or as feature filled as strawberry, and I am glad you guys picked up where Clementine left off. You know in some applications audio applications (mostly video) there is a way to take stereo only sound and up-mix it to output to 5.1 / 7.1 so it will come out all speakers. I know often audio drivers would be able to handle this, when when your audio drivers are less than stellar, anyone have any recommendations how I might up-mix stereo output in strawberry (I use in multiple versions of linux and windows). Maybe in the future this could be added as an option when directly outputting to speakers via alsa / direct sound? Thanks again,
