      Good Evening,
      I'm thinking of purchasing the below MP3 player.
      It's Android based and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it.

      What I wanted to know was if I'm running Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon, will my computer be able to see it and will I be able to generate playlists and add them to it via Strawberry?

      If not, does anyone have any suggestion?
      Thanks,

        @scubaboyc Doesn't your phone play MP3s?

          @rlkeeney Yes it does. 🙂
          I don't like playing it on my phone though.
          I prefer a separate device for my music. I'm old that way 🙂 🙂

            I found the xDuoo X2 to be a delightful little guy who has served me well for many years.

            Uploading files using Strawberry/Clementine is also the only way I could get it to load the tracks onto the device in the correct order...

            The extremely basic internals mean that it doesn't sort files within folders alphabetically but instead in the order at which they were written.

            However it's tiny, the battery lasts forever and the sound is fantastic... Here is a slightly more recent version: https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/xduoo-x2s.25173/

              So i bought it and when I try to open it, I get following error:
              "Error connecting MTP device mtp://mediatek_m400_0123456789abcdef/?busnum=001&devnum=015"

              I'm not sure what that means. Something tells me a setting on the player is not correct.

              Any suggestions?
              Thanks,

                OK, So i figured out that if I go into Nemo and do the following:
                "Go to Edit > Preferences > Behavior and in Media Handling uncheck "Automatically mount removeable media when inserted and on startup"
                Strawberry will see the music collection on the player.

                However, when I try to build a playlist and save it to the device I get the error:
                "Unable to Access M400/ Unable to open MTP device "001,021"

                Any suggestions?
                Thanks

                  Hello! Compatibility with Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon for the Android MP3 player may vary. Check the device specifications and seek community advice. Ensure Strawberry supports file transfer to the player.
