Have Windows Strawberry save it's settings in a file instead of the registry

This would vastly simplify making Strawberry portable, which helps with reinstalls, migrating to another system etc.
I am not talking about migrating the database and I am aware o fthe idiosyncrasies that would have. Just referring to the program settings. But, while we're at it, providing a truely portable version of Strawberry, taht would encapsulate everything within it's folder, including the DB and settings would be awesome. THis sort of program is a prime candidate for keeping after a Windows reinstall and/or duplicating/migrating to another system. If you wonder what I mean by duplicating, think about having the collection on a nas and muyltiple systems connected to it.
Thank you!

It's an interesting idea!

It would be super convenient to have all of the program settings and database stored in one place. And I totally agree that Strawberry is a prime candidate for keeping after a Windows reinstall or duplicating/migrating to another system. Having your music collection on a NAS and being able to connect multiple systems to it would be amazing!

@jonas Please take a look at this if you've got the time. Personally, I don't mind rebuilding the DB, so what I'm really interested in is having Strawberry's setings in an .ini file rather than in the registry. I'm no Qt dev by any stretch of the imagination, but I believe it has a relatively simple off-the-shelf way of achieving this:
