I am not sure I put this in the proper catagory here, but while it makes sense to not have support listed at the moment with the last release in Jan 2024. Ubuntu 24.04 is a new LTS and other distros coming out like Linux Mint 22 is based in that.

I just ran across this testing some scripts I have written and noticed it. I have NOT tried say the latest ubuntu based release DEB ON 24.04, I admit.

to be clear I said "official" deb since release DEBs I see have the base name in them... that is the only reason i said it that way

Strawberry version: 1.0 on Manjaro here though I think I have seen this recently and ONLY recently in various distros.

What is happening is whether choicing with a point and click or keyboard left-right arrows, on any mp3 i try, the seekbar moves ... the little graph (analyser?) to the left of the volume and above the seek bar still looks normal but there is no audio playing ... sometimes "two seeks ... then the third seek there is audio" .. sometimes "one seek, then the second seek, the audio comes back"

I tried with Deadbeef (another media player) and the same mp3s and there is no issue. This only came up recently as, as soon as I found Strawberry Music Player I have used it.

i see some issues and the question "what gstreamer version?" ... so ahead of that I have (just on Manjaro here when i am typing this)
"extra/gstreamer 1.18.5-1 [installed]"

again this is a recent issue that I have noticed oh say ... the past week or so.

I have also removed Strawberry (and deleted .cache/Strawberry AND .config/Strawberry ) and reinstalled and while SOMETIMES it seems to do better ... the problem comes back.

I have also gone into settings and tried changing "audio" in the backend settings but so far while i still get audio ...changing that doesn't get rid of this problem.

Thank you for a great program and any help or ideas you may have on fixing this.

one more thing ... I also tried a .93 version of the appimage (the version i was using is from the default repos) and the problem still happens on that too
