    • variable speed playback

Variable speed playback -- including the ability to toggle the correlating change in pitch on or off.

Was really happy to find that VLC has this same feature on Mac and Windows (can't speak for Linux). I've also run into portable audio players that do this but with no pitch change and a limited range, for listening to audiobooks and podcasts I assume.

Pitch change is a big one for me since I listen to a lot of old electronic dance music, which is meant to be manipulated on a turntable of course... A lot of this music was pressed/recorded at a slower velocity than it was meant to be played in person. Brings out its authentic character it should have when you speed it up, while other cuts really become rich when you slow them down, etc... simply meant to be, well missed & amazing to have on a digital audio player.

I'm no developer and maybe this isn't compatible with Strawberry. But it would be excellent.
If there's already a way to do this and I couldn't find it, let me know

Thanks for all the hard work on this project. A friend told me about it and I owe it a donation soon

    • bug: function keys crashing Strawberry on Mac. anyone else?

Hi, I'm using Strawberry on a Macbook. I'm very thankful for it like other Mac users on here.

The way I've configured my keyboard, I use the 'fn' key plus the function keys (f1 - f12) to control things like volume and music playback on my computer. This is opposite of the default keyboard configuration for the system.

When Strawberry is in focus, using keybinds fn + F7 through F12 crash the program immediately every time.

Upon testing sometimes the other function keys do too.

Tricky because those particular keys control volume and music playback... I've been working around it, like making sure strawberry isn't in focus when I press them, or controlling volume/playback by clicking on things instead.

(I switched my keyboard from the default mode for mac, where you have to hold down fn to use the function keys instead of the volume, brightness, and playback controls.

      context for good measure: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204436

If I have a chance I can try switching my keys back to the default configuration and see if the playback + volume control keys crash the program without pressing fn)

Does this happen to anyone running a current version of mac os x? I run an older version of mac, 10.15.2, for reasons...
