How to load podcast mp3 file on my hard disk onto ipod.

I am a newbie to Ubuntu.
I want to be able to put mp3 files from my computer onto my iPod Nano.
I have downloaded Strawberry and it recognizes my iPod but I cannot figure out how to move an mp3 file (of a podcast) from my computer to my iPod.Can anyone explain to a grandmother (me) how to do this? Using un-nerdlike language please.

Right click on the song in the collection tab and select "Copy to device".
The directory with the songs need to be added to the collection for it to appear there. -

The directory with the songs need to be added to the collection for it to appear there.I tried to copy the AAC file to my iPod classic, the copy looks successful the songs can see in my iPod directory via Strawberry but there is nothing when I checked the songs in my iPod, So what I might be did wrong? please advise. Thank you.
