Playlists not loading on startup
-
I am new to Strawberry Music Player, which I have installed on a PC running Windows 10, and I need help with playlists. Previously I used Foobar2000 but it has become ridiculously complex to configure to meet my needs.
My music collection is almost entirely classical and opera, and I have little interest in albums. I want to create playlists that focus on composers, performers, genres etc. Unlike Foobar2000, in Strawberry I was easily able to create a nested playlist tree structure that reflected my needs, and I assigned music tracks to these playlists (FLAC 2.0 and 5.1).
The problem is that when I closed Strawberry and reopened it later, the nested playlists I had created did not reappear and I cannot find a way of recovering them. I would like the playlists to load automatically when I start Strawberry. Can anyone help?

@HipwellGA
Try a integrity check of the database: https://wiki.strawberrymusicplayer.org/wiki/Database_integrity_check -
Hi Jonas, I have a similar thing, just tried integrity check, came back clean. Might be I'm doing something wrong but it seems like it should be simple.
I think Strawberry auto-loaded my old existing .m3u playlists from /music/playlists, which is nice.
I created a new one, added a few tracks, and saved as .m3u in the same folder. But it doesn't show up in the playlists left tab list. I can load it manually, it'll open as a tab (playlists tabs are great btw!), I can edit & save it. But it's never in the playlists left tab list upon re-open. I believe it IS present in the playlists top tabs if I left it open.
Do you have any info on the background process which causes the playlists left tab to be populated - or not? Thanks!

@jonas sorry to tag you / bump this mate; any chance you have an idea why Strawberry is behaving this way?
The playlists are in the Collection folder (/Music) subfolder (/Music/playlists) and auto-imported fine. But saving new playlists doesn't populate them to the Playlists tab list.
I tried a full rescan, but I don't have to do this for new music.
I just tried saving the playlist as m3u8 instead of m3u but that didn't change things either.
Thanks for any intel!
