Track names issues
-
Hello,
Total newbie to Strawberry, coming from Media Monkey. I have searched the forum and not found answers to these questions. Apologies if I have overlooked.
-
Imported file from scan of my HD folder does not show track names, just has name of album for all tracks. This was a file from CD that I renamed with all track names. Is there a track name convention that I should be following prior to scan/import?

I have recreated an 'album' of songs on my HD where I have gathered the songs from various sources (vinyl, download, etc.) and then renamed and ordered to my liking. When I scan/import this file it only brings in 7 of the 9 songs. What am I missing re naming and importing into Strawberry?
Running Windows 11.
Thanks in advance.

Re: 1, did you change the title of the song in the file tags, or just the name of the file? Apologies if you already know this, but if you have a file called Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.mp3, Strawberry won't assume that the song is called "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"--you'll have to enter it manually or use the automatic tag completer.
If the files are already properly tagged but the tags aren't showing up in Strawberry... I'm stumped. -
Re: 2, the only think I can think of is maybe a couple of the songs are in a format Strawberry doesn't recognize or use file extensions it doesn't recognize? If it's the second one, it may be as simple as changing the end of the file name from .mpga to .mp3 or something like that. What format are the files in?
