Synced lyrics support?
-
Hello,
I noticed that synced lyrics was being picked up by the player but was reading it wrong. It was embedded on my songs with the %LYRICS% tag and looked like this:
When it should look like this (foobar2000 with plugins on windows):
It would be nice if this feature would be added.
Thanks. -
@fzer0P could you double check at the settings the order of preference in the case of lyrics? Maybe the sources each player is getting are different.

@Gustavo-L-Conte
I tested songs with the %UNSYNCEDLYRICS% and %LYRICS% tag and in foobar2000 it sees and classify the ones with and without timestamps but in Strawberry it classifies all lyrics as if it has no timestamps or treats it like unsynced lyrics.
In the settings of Strawberry, I haven't found an setting related on how the lyrics should be read and identified.

@fzer0P
Strawberry doesn't actually support synced lyrics, but it reads it and uses it as regular lyrics if unsynced lyrics does not exist. -
I also think synced lyrics support would be a really nice addition as this is one of the main things I miss from Foobar2000, although it was an addon (https://github.com/jacquesh/foo_openlyrics) and not native to it. If I could add another suggestion, it would be nice to have the unsynced lyrics scroll throughout the song, it won't be correct or precise in 100% of the cases but it's quite surprising how well it matches most songs.

@8gJwRQ Same here! I do not have the skill to program a music player. But if I could I would built one with the flexibility of Foobar2000 and have Foobar add-on support to make it an extremely smooth switch over. I sorely miss an OpenLyrics panel in Strawberry For some reason, my Foobar2000 via Wine keeps breaking after a while, even if used via Lutris. Strawberry is one of the best alternatives, but the synced lyrics via OpenLyrics is missed deepy.
