Strawberry doesn't see new files
-
Good Evening,
Sorry if this is a repeat. I tried searching for 20min and nothing came up.
I just added 4 new albums to my computer. I opened Strawberry and they're not there.
I rescanned the database twice. I closed Strawberry twice and rebooted the computer once.
Still they don't show up in my Collection. Is there a size limit to how many files Strawberry can see?
Like I said, I searched about 10 different ways and couldn't find a similar thread to save my line.
Any suggestion on what I'm doing wrong?
Running version 1.0.23 (not sure why I'm not up to date) on Linux Mint 22.Thanks & Happy Holidays!!! :):):)

I would check first if the files are OK. Can they be played normally with other programs? If yes, can you inspect the track properties and tell if the media types match the file extensions, or if the tracks lack extension? Applications like MediaInfo, or simply "file" in Linux will help.
What happens if you copy one of them to a folder that's included in the collection? Or the inverse: copy a recognized track to those folders. Use Tools/Update-changed-collection-folders if necessary. Try also adding their folders to the collection.
These tests may narrow the problem.

@TakeFive - Thanks for the advice.
I tried Clementine and everything is visible and plays on it.
As far as I can tell, all files are mp3's and formatted correctly.
I moved one of the folders to a band that 's already seen by Strawberry; did a rescan and reboot and still wasn't seen.
One of the artists was ripped via Windows Media Player and the other 2 by MediaMonkey.
The MediaMonkey files are named: "#-Artist-trackname.mp3". That's the only difference I could find. When I open Strawberry I get the following errors:
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
