Tidal streaming downsampling issue to external dac

When I stream tidal on Strawberry, it always seems to play at 16-bit/44kHz regardless of the original mastering. How can I ensure the output retains the original quality to my external DAC?

Do you know for sure that the stream is actually received in hi-res? What is seen in the playlist columns for Sample Rate and Bit Depth?
I can't find any albums in hi-res anymore, so I think something is changed with their API. -
@jonas I tested it with U2's Achtung baby 30th anniversary album, which is only available in hi-res format.
