Strawberry on Apple silicon M1
-
Strawberry freezes often on my MacbookPro 13" M1 processor (BigSur 11.4) using Strawberry 0.9.3 x86 64bit, when I click on a mp3 song or somewhere else...
Is a M1-Version under construction ?
Strawberry is just what I was looking for since Clementine does not work at all.
Thankyou !

We only have releases for macOS x86_64 CPU. So how did you install Strawberry, or did you compile from source yourself?
It is possible to compile yourself:
https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/wiki/Compile-and-install-on-macOS
Unfortunately there isn't a CI that supports macOS ARM yet, so unless someone with a arm based mac volunteers to create them it won't be possible to do any time soon. -
@jonas I'm new to MacOS and somehow managed to install the current version of Strawberry on my new Macbook Air with the M1 chip. I am having some trouble where I copy new folders (albums) of mp3's or flac's into the folder :"Strawberry Tracks" which Strawberry monitors, re-start Strawberry and sometimes the new tracks show up in the library. sometimes not. I'm new to MacOS snd haven't been able to figure out if my problems are due to Strawberry not liking the M1 chip, or what.
