Current status of ASIO and WASAPI Exclusive

What's the current status of ASIO support and WASAPI Exclusive on Windows?
I use a Delta 1010 studio sound card with full ASIO support.
I won't use any of the standard Windows drivers as they don't sound anywhere near as good as ASIO. I want to avoid the Windows mixer system altogether, although I understand that WASAPI Exclusive does not use that? or at least you can set the correct sample rate in exclusive mode. Is that correct?I have used Stawberry in the past on Linux with ALSA and it was very good.
I particularly like the playlist support and functionality in Strawberry.
I don't want to pay out for a Windows version and find out it won't do ASIO or at least WASAPI EXCLUSIVE. -
I have just purchased this software through Patreon and installed it.
I have tried every combination of ASIO and WASAPI Exclusive mode and I CANNOT get any sound out of my sound card.
I'm extremely dissapointed. I'm no better off than with ver 1.023.
@jonas I will be looking for a refund. -
@KirstyA
See https://forum.strawberrymusicplayer.org/post/3360 and https://forum.strawberrymusicplayer.org/topic/88/testers-needed-for-windows-wasapi-support?_=1749326983834ASIO worked last time I checked, but not without resampling the audio.
It's a high priority to fix this. -
@jonas when is this likely to be? as i'm not happy going through the Windows mixer as it ruins the sound.
I'm quite happy to test out beta versions if you want a tester?
As it stands now I have bought the latest version which gives me no benefit than to the last free one for my use case.
