Question / Feature request regarding Last.fm full synchronization
-
First of all, thank you so much for your hard work on Strawberry. It's an amazing music player!
I wanted to ask about the Last.fm integration. In the past, there was a feature/button that allowed us to synchronize our local library with Last.fm data—specifically updating track play counts, favorite/loved tracks status, and last played dates.
Has this feature been moved, or was it removed in recent updates? If it was removed or if it’s currently not working as intended, I would love to request bringing back full two-way synchronization with Last.fm. It's extremely helpful for keeping track of listening history across devices.
Thanks again for your time and continuous support for Strawberry -
@Riossben Hello, I'm also interested in synching song play counts and last time played data. Looks like synch button was taken out of Strawberry since version 1.2.18. I'm using Linux Mint Strawberry 1.2.23. I got my Android VLC music app to have it's song metadata sent to (scrobbled) ListenBrainz and Last.FM
- Strawberry doesn't appear to be importing meta data from those services even though my login info in Strawberry appeared to login correctly to ListenBrainz and Last.FM.
- In 1.2.23 Tools - Settings I turned on Last.FM button at the bottom, but song metadata not updated.
- Also tried Tools menu - Update changed collection folders but no joy. song metadata not updated.
Note I haven't read other forums which might answer this, going there next.

whoops to be clear, if I play a song in Strawberry it's getting scrobbled up to Last.FM. yeah.
Or if I play a song in VLC on Android it's scrobbled up to Last.FM or ListenBrainz.
I want to get scrobbled meta song data down from those services back to Strawberry.
Then Strawberry will update it's song metadata of play count and Last Played date and time stamp.
