I'm not the most technical person but the issue I have is that MOST times when I open Strawberry, I have to manually select my soundcard to get any sound.
I have a USB audio interface (Behringer UMC404HD) but Strawberry seems to default to sending audio through either the motherboard audio or the graphics card.
This setting doesn't seem to save - the next time I open Strawberry I have to re-select "UMC404HD 192K USB Audio".
It's not a big deal because it works perfectly once selected. But if anyone knows what I need to change (or other info I can supply?) I'd be very grateful!
      (Ubuntu Studio 22.04.1)

@jdfreeman I changed the setting from "Output to a sound card via ALSA" to "Plays audio to a PulseAudio server" and it seems to be fine now... I don't really understand the technical stuff but maybe this helps someone else with this issue!

It's common for alsa devices to change index, you can either select the pcm option, or you need to configure them in modprobe to use a fixed number (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Advanced_Linux_Sound_Architecture). However if you have PulseAudio running, you should not use ALSA at all.
