I'm often listening to music while working, and for the most part, I just use a smart playlist based on my ratings. However, I've noticed there a few songs that aren't good for my focus even though I like listening to them when I'm not working.
It would be great if I could filter them based on a clear criterion when I create a smart playlist. For this, I thought it might be a good idea to add a keyword to the database, so that I'd have a small number of keywords to filter by.
I might also use this to filter on dance music, for example.

RE: Tidal account
I've had Tidal working again for a while now, but just had an error that said something around an expired token. I didn't record the actual error message, but I was afraid the API token had expired, so I checked that, but it eventually turned out that it was most probably the OAuth bearer token, so all I needed to do was to log in again.
I did notice
401
in the error message though, so I suppose the client might have gotten an HTTP401
from the Tidal API, which would make it clear that logging in again was required. So, perhaps this would be an enhancement, that if the client receives a
401
, Strawberry prompts the user to log in? -
RE: Tidal account
@nonsequitur Uh-oh. Everything is uptodate as of today here.
I used Tidal with Strawberry some years ago, but stopped as it broke for some reason that I didn't figure out. Decided to give it another try today.
I'll try and see if I manage to install the old version.

RE: Tidal account
I just reopened a Tidal subscription, since my daughter also wanted Tidal, and the hope it would work with Strawberry again.
I can't find a
X-Tidal-Token
in the cache files now on my Android Fairphone 3+. There is some JSON:{"authenticationToken":"redacted"}
I tried to use that, but that didn't work. I suppose that's not actually the client ID.
Are there any changes that people have encountered recently?

Best way to manage collection on NFS?
I have my collection in an NFS mounted directory, I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to best configure Strawberry in this case. I use PPA packages on Ubuntu 21.10, Strawberry is 1.0.1.
I haven't done much to configure it now, and the current behavior is somewhat problematic if Strawberry starts before the volume is mounted. In that case, Strawberry concludes the collection is gone, and so the database is updated to this meaning that for example my ratings are lost.
Looking through the options, I now see that I can turn off updating the collection when Strawberry starts, which I suppose would help with the above problem.
I guess there might be a better way to do it, like if Strawberry identified the NFS share as a device that might be unavailable, using the "Devices" system, but I don't always see the NFS share listed there even when it is mounted.

RE: Remote control option? Use my Android phone to control the app
I use the KDE Connect, so it Just Works for me.
Rather than a separate app, I wonder if it would be more feasible to support one of the standards out there. If I understand it correctly, wouldn't making Strawberry a DLNA Renderer make it possible to use any of the DLNA apps to control it remotely?
