My apologies if this is an elementary question, but I've searched here and elsewhere and not found an answer.
I'm running Linux Mint, and the menu for setting keyboard shortcuts that work even when Strawberry does not have focus warns against using such shortcuts with Cinnamon.
But I don't actually need my keyboard shortcuts to work when Strawberry does not have focus. Are there, or is there a way to set up, keyboard shortcuts that work only when Strawberry is the active window? Specifically, I want to go forward and backward by whole tracks, and I want to raise and lower the volume.
The keyboards on the machines in question (one of which is a laptop) do not have dedicated keys for skipping tracks, and the dedicated volume keys adjust the volume at the OS level.
Thank you!
