@helpless_dancer I've had lots of fun and games with song lyrics, but I suspect it isn't a Strawberry problem, more the fault of the lyric databases. I've had cases where lyrics have been shown, but blatantly wrong lyrics, I've had same problem as you, I've had lyrics displayed in foreign languages and I've even had lyrics displayed when playing instrumental tracks!

Don't know exactly what the databases are recognising from the tags, but for one thing there appears to be some kind of obsession with "original albums". If you take a track from a various artists compilation, and then change the tags to show the name of the album it originally came from you may well find the lyrics suddenly appear.

Which in my opinion is ridiculous. If it's THAT song by THAT band then it's THOSE lyrics. The lyrics don't change just because it's on a different album do they? As far as I'm concerned the database should just recognise the title and artiste, but that doesn't appear to be the case. And I can assure you, many, many hours have been spent in the past ensuring my entire music collection is properly tagged.

If an incorrect album cover is shown it's simple to change it, I just wish there was more control over what song lyrics are displayed. As an example, there is an old 50's rock 'n' roll song called "My Babe" which was recorded by countless people, I have 5 versions in my collection. But whenever I play any of them it displays the lyrics to Led Zep's "Kashmir" for some bizarre reason. Also noticed on a few occasions it's managed to display lyrics when playing an instrumental track! Or is there more control available, but I just haven't found it yet?
