      Turn off album metadata from cover image

      @jonas Thanks for the reply. Well... turning off the "playing widget" doesn't solve my problem, because although it makes the metadata go away, it also makes the cover art go away. What I want is to keep the art, but without the metadata. Now, they come and go together.

      Let's talk about "playing widget". I don't see this in Clementine. I never noticed it in the Strawberry settings, probably because the meaning of it is unclear. In practical reality, this term seems to refer only to the display of the cover art (and its metadata). How is that a "widget"? To me, a widget is something with some functionality, not just a display. If this term was introduced in Strawberry, I really think it needs to be changed. It is not understandable, at least to average English speakers. Finally, is there any real purpose to turning off this widget/display? It's not replaced by anything else. Either the art is displayed, or it is not. I feel like this is an area where the UI of Strawberry could use some careful thinking-through.

      @acroadglide
      After spending time comparing folders, permissions, etc. I finally discovered that the CD ripper for this particular folder had not included the .m3u playlist file. Re-ripping the CD corrected the scanning and indexing of this folder/title for both Strawberry and the miniDLNA server running from my RapsberryPi.

      @jonas
      Thanks. I tried that, didn't work, but it did cause me to wonder if there was something about the track (that I wasn't previously familiar with) that might be causing the problem. I put the output settings back to the wrapper sink, tried to play another track, and...it worked. The track that had me convinced something was wrong just had a significant period of silence at the beginning for some reason.

      Complete pilot error. Mea maxima culpa.

      @astrovark
      If you have enabled to save album covers as embedded covers under the covers settings, this can happen, since the cover is saved at the same time the track is played if you have the "Automatically search for album cover" option on.

      I'm not so sure 7th gen iPods will work, I think it might be because Apple changed their database to use encryption to prevent other software from using it.

      @jonas Many thanks for your reply and the pointer to the other issue. I have GStreamer 1.22.10. It does appear to be related to issue 1376. That gave me an idea. If I un-tick "Fade out on pause / fade in on resume", the problem does not occur. Excellent!

      Thanks again.

      @collapsinghrung
      You need to enable the rating column, right click on the playlist columns (track, title, album, artists, etc), and check rating, it's in the bottom of the list.

      @jpirie
      That looks like a different issue than @rlkeeney had.

      @VSofter

      I can reproduce the issue with wasapi exclusive mode playing low distorted audio, reported here: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/-/issues/3339

      I can periodically reproduce a issue with ASIO where the track is played at lower speed, have to look more into that.

      @animatedjay: Which is the playback state when you restart Strawberry or the whole machine, Playing, Paused, Stopped?

      I'm running a Mini PC with Manjaro Linux as my "stereo" with a playlist containing the whole music collection in random order, Strawberry in autostart, and have "Resume playback on start" activated as well.
      In Paused mode, restarting the program or rebooting the computer makes Strawberry starting playback immediately, in Stopped mode it also starts in Stopped mode again, so for me that option works as expected.

      @vikingo90
      The error message is not in English, so it's hard for me to understand, but it looks to me like it does not negotiate the format and sample rate to a format supported by your DAC. If you are using the ALSA hw option, try using the pcm option instead, this will resample to 48khz
