I can confirm that splitting the mbid's by slash and appending them individually to the Json array works. Fixed now (https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/commit/d9c4720a3ee776dde2701eac21fd0b51ae50a78a).

@desputin I would love to see this as well. I was an iTunes user before switching to Strawberry and made extensive use of this in my smart playlists.

@maverick While I am not generally a fan of most of the suggestions promoted here, I like this one.

I, too, have had a similar issue with the USB flash drives I use in my truck. If the directory structure is deep, the system in my truck will skip the track or complain about it. Both of which is annoying.

Allows using calls from dbus to rate a currently playing song without having to open up the player and click the star rating.

This is useful for media playing from a second computer (laptop, media machine)

It also allows you to bind alt-f1-f10 to half a star to 5 stars

It also allows apps like kde connect to have a ratings ui function in multimedia control, so you can rate a currently playing song with your phone

I agree with this idea too.
