      Like I already said, report it to FreeBSD.
      Someone from the BSD community needs to maintain the sndio plugin for GStreamer.

      Strawberry can handle a huge music library that doesn't include many great songs and gives people the freedom to choose the songs that suit them.

      I have had luck using touch to update the modified date of the artist folder. When I invoke "Update changed collection folders", it then seems to scan all albums and song within.

      I think it would help if you start strawberry from a terminal, because then you see the files scanned, it might give a hint to what files take unreasonable time to scan.

      Another super happy user here, taking advantage these days of "Song fingerprinting and tracking"; and remembering the days when that feature didn't exist and how the internal playlists got ruined after renaming files or directories. This is so good... Thank you!

      Long live Strawberry!

      @jonas Hi, I'm using dark theme on macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and yes, these stripes are very hard on eyes. Spend a lot of time to find where I can turn them off, then found this topic. But there is no option for this in "Playlist" section on mac version. Experimental build tells "You have macOS 10.14.6. The application requires macOS 10.15 or later." Please help, I don't want to go back to iTunes 馃槩

      @swagstaff said in Continue High Sierra os x 10.13 support?:

      We have to patch some Qt6-specific code to build with Qt5. Edit the following files:
      ../3rdparty/macdeployqt/main.cpp
      ../3rdparty/macdeployqt/shared.cpp
      And change ALL instances of
      QLibraryInfo::path
      to
      QLibraryInfo::location
      (A quick way to patch:)
      $ sed -i '.bak' 's/QLibraryInfo::path/QLibraryInfo::location/g' ../3rdparty/macdeployqt/{main,shared}.cpp

      These steps can be skipped with Strawberry 0.9.3 and up; the code was fixed to check for Qt5 and use the proper function.

      @edward I figured out the issue with settings not being saved. For some reason the config file, strawberry.conf in .config, was owned by root so Strawberry was denied write permission.. I changed owner to Pi and issue was resolved.

      Missing bpm and key tag also a lot. Best would be a custom field where you can select a id3 tag of choice.

      Hello,
      I am a new user of Linux Ubuntu AND your great Stawberry application. I did the last update. I was a windows user, and used foobar in the past to manage my music, library and play.
      If I can play dsf files, have it available in the library is still not possible (?). Is it somehow planed to add it ?
      Thanks in advance for your answer
      Cheers

      @catch22 I had the same error just a second ago.

      Fixed it by entering strawberry settings and reselecting an output device via dropdown. Hopefully this will help you as well.

      @jonas The post was about albums being split into multiple instances. I posted here because the same issue was happening to me and I determined that it was related to the grouping tag field not the sort group by function (except that the group by feature made the issue visible). Changing the grouping tag values stopped the problem so I thought there was value in posting.

      Splitting an album by the grouping tag field seems more like a hack to me, not anything intentional. It's fine if there's a feature to enable if someone wants it, but the existing behavior didn't seem to be an intentional feature. I don't see why an album should be broken up at all except possibly compilations into their individual artists.
