(Linux) Keyboard Shortcuts are triggered when window is out of focus

This is an issue which was present in Clementine since 2016, but still seems to be a problem here in Strawberry as well. It's actually the reason I switched, hoping it would be fixed.

But unfortunately, any keys I assign to any shortcuts will not only trigger those shortcuts when Strawberry is out of focus, but they cease to perform any functions elsewhere. Basically becoming media keys instead of QWERTY.
