No lyrics in MX Linux
-
Recently I upgraded strawberry to version 1.0.14-1~mx21+1.
I still cannot get any lyrics.
Is there a way around?
I have mx21.3 up to date.
In clementine lyrics were found and displayed.
What can I do to offer help for the solution?

You need to enable it in Settings / Context. -
You should pick "sans-serif" in Context/Font for lyrics
it works then
-
@someguy UPD: it doesn't((( I don't receive lyrics on MX Linux, please do look up this issue
-
Lyrics needs to be enabled in the Settings, under Context, check "Songs lyrics" and "Automatically search for song lyrics".
Under the Lyrics tab you need to check at least one provider.
AudD no longer works, they recently disabled our API key.
You can start strawberry from a terminal, then you can see more debug output related to lyrics searches.
You can search lyrics directly on for example https://genius.com/ and https://www.lyrics.com/ to see if they are available there, if they are not shown on any of the providers available under the lyrics tab websites, then they won't show in strawberry either. -
Same here (Debian Bullseye). "Song texts" enabled in Context and under Song texts"-tab I have LoloLyrics, Lyrics.ovh, muxixmatch and ChartLyrics active.

Ah, after restarting strawberry it worked. Strawberry was probably looking under Genius (login required)
-
-
Yes, Genius requires login, forgot to mention that important fact.
To login: Go to Settings / Lyrics, under providers click Genius in the list and you should get a button to login. -
@jonas
Thank you. It works. -
I have the same issue as mentioned above. The only lyrics that is showing are those from ChartLyrics. None of the others are working. It doesen´t matter if I untick and retick the boxes. And it doesent matter if I restart Strawberry.
