Library incomplete
-
Hello,
I use Strawberry on MX-Linux. The library was built from mp3's from a partition of a 2 disk drive that is mounted in advance. The library is also constantly updated automatically. But some files are still missing, e.g. all ZZ-Top mp3s. How do I get them into the library? -

If you drag a file from a file manager over to the playlist window, do you get an error message? -
@JMinE-K I encountered that issue several times, since it was still called Clementine. One easy way is to remove all the folders from the Library.... then when it's empty, go back to the settings and re-add the folders. That usually does the trick.

Correction: The mp3s are available in the library, but not in the place where I expected them, namely under the letter Z, but under various artists with the search function. Even changing the sorting to artists did not change the result.
Even rebuilding the library did not change anything.
How can I ensure that the mp3s are listed under the respective letters in the library? -
@JMinE-K
It's automatically done when the compilation tag is set, or the album has songs with different artists without album artist.
So you have a few options.:- Correct the tags: Remove compilation tag, check that all songs have the same artist, or set the same album artist.
- Right click on the album and select "Don't show in various artists"
- Turn off the feature in Settings / Collection / "Use various artists for compilation albums"
