When I seek by clicking the position bar while playing an m4a file I'm getting the following error and the sound becomes distorted:

      11:41:17.706 DEBUG GstEnginePipeline:1598 Seeking to 65000000000

I'm outputting to GStreamer/Pipewire and having EasyEffects run in the background. An error window pops up with the following text:

The stream is in the wrong format.

      ../gst/audioconvert/gstaudioconvert.c(910): gst_audio_convert_transform (): /GstPlayBin3:pipeline-1-pipeline/GstPlaySink:playsink/GstBin:abin/GstBin:audiobin/GstAudioConvert:pipeline-1-audioqueueconverter: failed to map output buffer

@asenz I have the same problem on linux. It appears to be an issue with the Pipewire output. Some more searching finally led me to:

        https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/issues/1668

tl;dr: Change the output to PulseAudio, and the problem should go away (assuming you have pipewire-pulse installed).
