listenbrainz error: connection closed (2)

I'm using strawberry 1.2.11 on linux and i have encountered a new issue this morning.
Every time i play a song, i get the error message in my title in a popup window. However, all tracks scrobble like normal when i go to check on the listenbrainz website. I am also connected to last.fm and that works without any errors.
I've tried to fix it by creating a new listenbrainz access token and using strawberry both with and without a VPN.
