      I accidentally deleted them. Couldn't find a way to get them back so I uninstalled then reinstalled (a newer version). Still gone. Uninstalled again, and this time also deleted the Strawberry folder from C:\Users\me\AppData\Local). Also ran CCleaner. Reinstalled. They are still gone! Is there any way to restore them from inside the program?

        They are stored in the registry under:

        Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Strawberry\Strawberry\SerializedSmartPlaylists

        So you can simply delete "SerializedSmartPlaylists" and it should restore them on the next run.
        Make sure Strawberry is closed, and not minimized to tray when you do it.

          @jonas They're back! Thank you. And of course very many thanks for Strawberry in the first place!

            @jonas If you don't mind me asking, what is the procedure to restore the smart playlists, if I use Linux and not Windows?

              @Camber
              Edit ~/.config/strawberry/strawberry.conf with a text editor (like Kate), and delete the entire [SerializedSmartPlaylists] section.
