I had the same issue with 0.8.1, downloading the 0.8.4 release sorted it though. ☺

I have not tested on Big Sur, but the existing release should work.

Try to install the latest version, replace your current.

Still isn't working on Big Sur running version 0.8.4. Just get a spinning wheel and Application Not Responding....

I am getting issues on Big Sur too. The app opens into a black window (full screen) and just hangs there. I have to force quit it.

I ran it from the command line to collect logs. Attaching them here.

I also found a Qt issue that's still open. Not sure if any of this is relevant.

Maybe I need to uninstall and re-install?

(I was about to open an issue on Github when I noticed there was a forum)

According to https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/supported-platforms.html, Big Sur is not listed as a supported platform. Seems strange since Big Sur has been out in Beta for a long time.

I tried to upgrade my Virtualbox macOS cataline VM to Big Sur, but it does not have enough disk space, and I have problems expanding the partition. I can expand the virtual size of the vdi file fine. I can't seem to boot from a ISO to manage to resize the partition, and Disk Utility doesn't seem to expand it even when it says it's successful. If anyone can help me with that I might be able to look into it.

You can try to compile yourself following the guide here:

Looks like similar problems were reported for other Qt applications https://github.com/Komet/MediaElch/issues/1035 and the solution is to recompile.

Can someone confirm if the Big Sur builds work or not?
If they work I can publish a separate link for Big Sur on the homepage.

Sorry @jonas, missed the notification that there's activity here.

Just tested https://builds.strawberrymusicplayer.org/macos/bigsur/strawberry-0.8.4.28.gfcd4e5ac-bigsur.dmg and it seems to work. Thanks!
