Desktop shortcut not displaying in Files list
There is also a shortcut for the music folder on the NAS drive
This one's address is: smb://192.168.88.108/music
Under chris/Desktop it is empty

I have given up on this
A friend who was assisting has expressed the opinion (correct or not) that this needs a bit of work to make it more useful
Having spent many hours getting nowhere, I shall reluctantly stop using it

Only audio files will be filtered.
You need to mount the NAS to a mountpoint.
