Album Covers on iPod Classic
-
I have songs on my iPod with the album covers that I originally saved using iTunes.
In iTunes, the album covers are displayed for each song.
Now I have Debian 12 and have installed the latest version of Strawberry Player, but I can’t see the album covers when I connect the iPod.
Can I view the album covers of the songs saved with iTunes?
Thank you. -
This is just a guess, but I'm wondering if your artwork from iTunes is stored in an iTunes artwork database; readable by your iPod, but not something that Strawberry can read. I think that if the artwork was embedded in the files, you might be able to see it.
As I recall, you can save artwork a couple of different ways in iTunes. I have always preferred to embed the artwork, where it becomes a part of the metadata, and travels along with the audio file wherever it goes. Takes a bit more storage space, however.
Sorry, I can't test this right now, as I don't have access to an iPod.

Album covers are stored in a special way on the iPod, so Strawberry does not show album covers under devices, if that's what you mean. Strawberry should however store album covers when copying songs to the iPod, but personally I did not get those to show on the iPod, however, I know it worked for others.
