Context panel doesn't show manually saved lyrics after restarting Strawberry

I am running Strawberry 1.2.13 on Linux (I have reproduced this both on Gentoo and NixOS).

There are a few tracks in my music library where Strawberry fetches the wrong lyrics. For some of these, I have saved the correct lyrics in the Lyrics tab of the tag editor. After saving the correct lyrics, if I hit the Stop button and replay the track, the context menu now shows the correct, saved lyrics from the tag editor.

However, if I then restart Strawberry and replay this same track, the Context panel is again showing the wrong lyrics, even though the lyrics tab in the tag editor still shows the correct lyrics I saved earlier. If I click the "Save" button in the tag editor, and then restart the track it shows the saved lyrics, but I have to do this every time I restart Strawberry.

I assume it isn't supposed to work like this - is there anything I can change in the configuration so Strawberry always prefers the manually saved lyrics, if there are any?
