    • RE: What about: Captchas on the forum

      @Gustavo-L-Conte I think Jonas already answered a topic like this in the past, but I'm not entirely sure. Either way, I think captchas are a good idea to control spam.

    • RE: What is the source for the Information in the source column?

      @blumentopf You're welcome.
      And BTW, Strawberry has also a File Type column if you want to remember the format of your music files. Is particularly useful if you have songs and/or albums in multiple formats.

    • RE: What is the source for the Information in the source column?

      @blumentopf I have understood that CD icon appears in the Source column when the songs you're playing are part of your Collection.
      To add songs to your collection, you have to go to Settings > Collection > Add New Folder > and there you add the folder or folders where you have your music archives. If you have a large collection, it'll be a slower process.

    • RE: Strawberry no longer free?

      I said my opinion before, and I'll say it again: Paying five bucks for Strawberry is not that crazy, and supporting Jonas is completely optional, you can only suscribe a month and wait for the next update to renew that subscription; is not like if you don't pay a month the program gets completely blocked or something.

      Considering he is releasing versions for Windows, MacOS and Linux all the same, he's investing a lot of time and knowledge to fix bugs, offer new functions, etc. Naturally, there'll be bugs and problems as always. If big enterprises have trouble fixing their software, I imagine a dude programming alone in his PC would have all those same problems too.

      I can't entirely blame him for taking this decision. I personally like Strawberry and support him with a small amount of money is the least I can do. That last part is only personal, I've seen people moving on to other options and that's fine too.

    • RE: Pay for the newest verison?

      @jonas Understandable. Funny enough, I met Strawberry in one of those sites with malware you mentioned, and yeah, zero information about how to sponsor you or to donate. If it weren't for my curiosity, perhaps I would never met the original Strawberry creator and website. I wish you luck with this idea, for real, five bucks for your music player doesn't sound that crazy.

      @IAmTheWalrus The lowest tier in Patreon is $5, so you are virtually paying that for the new version.

    • RE: download older version of Strawberry

      @happy-turtle1 I found this site
      https://addons.videolan.org/p/1288971/
      I think this one has the Mac versions from past releases. Let me know if you found them.

      @happy-turtle1 There's a website called Npackd where you can download older versions of Strawberry. I am not sure if they have the Mac versions, but you can try.

    • RE: Stop after this track for Queue

      @deekinblooze Actually, there's already that function. In the playlist, press right click in the song you want, and then click in "Stop after this track".
      Ah, and if you are wondering; when you click "Play" again after the track stopping, the playlist will continue playing normally, and the same song won't play over again, like you may think.

    • RE: Can Strawberry handle a huge music library?

      @pross66japan I personally have a big music collection and Strawberry never had problems handling it. But it's "only" dozens of thousands, and not hundred of thousands like you. I don't know if Strawberry has a limit, but you should try to add the folder or folders where you have your collection and see what happens next.

    • RE: Website for the lyrics in Strawberry

      @remelach In the meanwhile, you should try Genius. If you are looking for portugese lyrics, in Genius you can find them, and in other various languages.

      @Dunlin Yes, it is possible. Right click over the song you want to add the lyrics in Strawberry > Edit Track Information > Lyrics.

    • RE: DLNA/UPnP support

      @axim705 I have understood Museeks has this function integrated, though I am not sure. I suggest you to check the Github page of Museeks, because the main website doesn't offer too much information about their Music Player.

      @axim705 The skins from Aimp can be integrated to Strawberry? I mean, Strawberry is supposed to be a Clementine fork.

    • RE: appearence problem

      @duns Clementine probably hadn't this problem because the Fusion theme wasn't available. The Fusion theme was an exclusive thing in Strawberry and it's been a theme since the 0.8.5 version.

      @duns Looks like a layout bug. If this doesn't happens with the other themes, then it's a bug.

      @wolfie No, there's no portable version of Strawberry at the moment, at least no for Windows. You can post this on the Feature Suggestions category, since is not a current feature.

      @jonas Those are excellent news! MarvinTM1 was really charitable by buying you a whole Mac computer just to continue with the Strawberry builds. Have fun! And be patient, I know from experience macOS can be tricky...
