Can you try the latest from https://builds.strawberrymusicplayer.org/macos/ and see if it works now?
Installed the latest one, some of them showed up. Did a full collection scan and every single one of them shows up perfectly.

There you go. Could it be related to Catalina?
@jonas I'm using 10.15.14 Catalina. I just downloaded 0.8.5.1 and it works perfectly now, must be the new handling of JPG's.
UPDATE: It seems that .jpg covers can't be loaded, if I change them to .png format they load fine when I right click and "Load cover from disk...".

Only on the albums with a "thumbs.db" file. It fails to detect the "folder" image file on albums without the thumbs.db file.
What is shown if you right click and select edit tags?
Do you mean "edit track information"? It doesn't show any cover, if I try to load it from disk and click "save" a loading icon will appear but nothing will happen. This is on macOS Catalina by the way.
@jonas There seems to be an issue with my album covers, almost none of them show up. I linked the picture. The album in the Finder window to the left shows up fine, the album on the other window does not show.

Tried to rescan and even to download them again with the Cover Manager, they won't show no matter what.
