@jonas that is a pretty poor show so far, I would have thought more people would have wanted a Mac/ARM version. It would suit me better personally (for anonymity reasons) if I bought one and sent it to you unopened, is that an option ? If not, I could do paypal it would just need to be a few smaller amount transactions over a week or two

@jonas Thanks Jonas, I have downloaded the latest version and I will let you know if that solves the issues when I get a chance to install it.

@pross66japan I have over 180,000 songs from 13,600 albums/radio shows in Strawberry without many issues at all, I have managed to crash Strawberry (with the spinning Apple beach ball) a few time when searching for a specific song and not entering the full title but I can not consistently repeat this issue, then it works fine after restarting Strawberry, all in all it it works very well with a large library.

@jonas Hi Jonas, I install 10.0.23 and still Pressing Caps Lock crashes Strawberry, as I don't use "Caps Lock" much at all (usually just accidentally hit it) and I use Strawberry all the time, rather than waste any more time on this I decided to disable the Caps Lock.

If you happen to find out why this might be happening I will check the forum from time to time, but with Caps Lock disabled it is working very well, no crashes

@jonas Hi Jonas, thanks for the quick reply. I have attached the message from the OS but no crash report. After your reply I am thinking it might be an Apple bug (it did start after the major OS update), I have had several minor issues since Sonoma (most have been fixed with updates) but I gave up talking to Apple about "third party" software compatibility years ago, they just finger point and say to use their software. Once again, thanks for your great work with Strawberry

Strawberry (1.0.20) is crashing if/when I accidentally hit Caps Lock. Overall I am very happy with Strawberry, I have very few issues on Sonoma 14.4.x, so I am reluctant to update if this problem continues with later versions, I do not need any new features. I am running a very large library that is too big for iTunes/Apple Music to handle and Strawberry is working well for me, save this one issue.

This Caps Lock issue is not keyboard specific as I have used all sorts of keyboards including the Apple & Windows keyboards (Wired and Bluetooth) with the same result, so it might be a Mac-OS issue.

Any idea of what might be causing this and is there a work around?

Hi Jonas, I have just joined GitHub and the Strawberry Music Player Forum to help support your Mac efforts as the need for a Mac/ARM version is urgent in my opinion. The Apple Music App is simply atrocious in so many ways.

While I'm not yet at all familiar with GitHub or the forum I found this request for help with a Mac Mini.
I was wondering if you managed to get enough fund for this project and if not how short you are ?

I'm not really able to subscribe to a regular donation as I no longer have a regular consistent income but I can find my way for a one off donation to help with this project and potentially ongoing donations towards the ARM version just not monthly.
