Migrated a couple of days ago from iTunes to Clementine and from there on to strawberry player. Happy to have been able to take playcount, ratings, etc with me thanks to the itunes-to-clementine perl script.. Strawberry is a great alternative, and much less problematic on system resources than iTunes. However I find the main window on the right (with possibility to change visible columns) counter intuitive. It feels strange that the view changes depending on the selection in the left bar (Collection, Files, Playlists, ...) doesn't come into this area, but only in a smaller window. It would be better to have this window reflect the choice on the left menu. So I would suggest to keep the configurable window (different views would be nice - album view, songs view, .. ) and ditch the rest. It would be much simpler

RE: does strawberry have a history/recently played songs?
@lunch Maybe you could add column Last Played to the view and sort on this column.
Another option is to create a smart playlist
