Had installed via Software Manager/mintinstall, which used a 1.0.0 flatpak from Flathub. Libcdio in flatpak was configured to disable CD support. Unsure that was the true issue, but deleted the flatpak, and installed per instructions on Strawberry home page to add Ubuntu repository. Now reads audio CDs.

@helpless_dancer I've had lots of fun and games with song lyrics, but I suspect it isn't a Strawberry problem, more the fault of the lyric databases. I've had cases where lyrics have been shown, but blatantly wrong lyrics, I've had same problem as you, I've had lyrics displayed in foreign languages and I've even had lyrics displayed when playing instrumental tracks!

Don't know exactly what the databases are recognising from the tags, but for one thing there appears to be some kind of obsession with "original albums". If you take a track from a various artists compilation, and then change the tags to show the name of the album it originally came from you may well find the lyrics suddenly appear.

Which in my opinion is ridiculous. If it's THAT song by THAT band then it's THOSE lyrics. The lyrics don't change just because it's on a different album do they? As far as I'm concerned the database should just recognise the title and artiste, but that doesn't appear to be the case. And I can assure you, many, many hours have been spent in the past ensuring my entire music collection is properly tagged.

Same problem here. All dopped to 352800.

I have the same problem with Strawberry and Calfplugin. Strawberry is only present while playing a song. If I stop the song in Strawberry the connection disappers in carla. An if I start a new song, the connection is not Calfplugin.

@secretsubtunes I ran into a similar issue. Make sure your CD looks up successfully via Picard https://picard.musicbrainz.org/

Turns out my CD tracks were of slightly different length than the one in the database so the ID didn't match.

Hello, did you figure this out? I'm experiencing the same situation even having "Mark disappeared songs unavailable" setting checked. Whole collection just disappear sometimes. I' m using latest Strawberry with Archlinux, kernel 5.17.6-zen1-1-zen. Collection is on Samba/cifs share.

@orinovet Thanks for the suggestion. A bind mount does seem to be a good simple workaround for the problem!

The problem was solved already on the FreeBSD forums. I need to install gstreamer1-plugins-flac in order to play .flac etc. (This was not necessary for clementine for whatever reason....)

You need faad2 or fdk-aac part of the gstreamer bad plugins. Not all distros include them, you might need to add a 3rdparty repository.

Thanks jonas, installing the qt6 packages on openSUSE TW has resolved the issue!
Maybe you can add a note somewhere on the GitHub page for letting others know of it too? 🙂

@fearless I'd just click Playlist >> Add Folder and point it at the drive / folder you want, save a new playlist and go from there.
