      I'm trying to connect a classic iPod 4th generation so I can move some of my music over to it. I thought I heard somewhere that Strawberry was one of the few that could connect with older iPods, but I could be wrong.

      When I try to connect, it shows as an available device, but when I double click to mount, I get this error:

      "Couldn't find an iPod database on /media/mpc/d42bc245-8457-3278-810b-f72a2f404360."

      Is this something I can fix, or was I mistaken and it just means using an older iPod with Strawberry is not possible?

      Appreciate any help!

        I can't help myself, but it might help others to help you if you could say;

        1. What operating system (and version)?
        2. What version of Strawberry?

        Cheers,
        Peter

            hello, I'm having the same issue where strawberry can't find the ipod database - using strawberry version 1.2.10, linux mint, and a 7th gen ipod classic. it's a new to me ipod that's never had music installed on it, and strawberry can interact with my 5th gen classic (which already had music on it) just fine.
