cover.jpg not showing during playback

Hello, new Strawberry user here. I love the software, but when I play FLAC files, the covers don't show up, only the generic CD cover is displayed.

The covers aren't embedded in the FLAC files, but are sitting in the album folder as a cover.jpg file. Are these supposed to be detected automatically during playback? Or do I have to search for covers online, even if it's already available in the album folder?

I'm using Linux Mint 20.2.

I had to rescan my collection after removing the embedded covers.
