Stats & ratings disabled for new songs

Last night I added 2 albums to my local strawberry library. I added them through the interface 'Playlist -> Add Folder'

Strawberry plays the songs beautifully without a problem ... however I noticed that stats are not updated however number of time the songs have been played.
So playcount is not increased, last played remains 'never'.
It's also strange that NO rating stars are displayed to do the rating

Then i tried editing the ID3 tags (ctrl-E) for a song. I can edit it but after save, it's not registered in the database.
All other songs in the database don't have this behaviour.
I checked permissions on directory and files ... it's like any other directory.
The local setup hasn't changed at all, no updates of strawberry or any other package is done.

Anyone Any idea?

Playlist / Add folder will only add the songs to the playlist (database), not the collection library, you need to add them via settings / collection, then re-add them to the playlist.
