@jonas, Strawberry, the 0% buffering issue persists. It stopped twice in the last hour. Previously, it ran for approximately 36 hours without issue.

I have switched from Fedora 40 to Linux Mint 22 LMDE, and I'm still experiencing the same issue. SO, it doesn't seem like the operating system is the problem.

I run Strawberry on this system 24/7. There is nothing in my logs that indicates anything related to Strawberry. The same thing happens when I start Strawberry with the --verbose option. It just stops. Clicking the stop button and then clicking the play button restarts playback on the same track it stopped on and is always successful. Play continues for a random number of tracks before it happens again.

I was able to get it working and what I had to do was in a virtual environment installed iTunes reset the iPod nano back to factory.

Then I attempted to copy a couple albums over from the strawberry media player in Linux. It said everything copied and then I disconnected properly and there were no music on the player. Plugged it back in and now strawberries says that there is a database problem.

I just went back into the virtual environment and just copied everything that I wanted onto the iPod nano third generation in itunes and it’s good to go.

I use rsync and back up my entire home directory to two external hard drives.

@apt1002 Left click shows / hides the program. If it doesn't, you have a bug in your system.

I have fixed the Issue, it seems it was a problem with the .desktop file located in
/var/lib/flatpak/app/org.strawberrymusicplayer.strawberry/x86_64/stable/fe501a8f671451ccb6eeb6f26f144b25c43ee460b69b92d4d3895ceb7337adcc/export/share/applications/org.strawberrymusicplayer.strawberry.desktop
All I had to do was replace the Exec line with Exec=flatpak run org.strawberrymusicplayer.strawberry
No idea if changing it from the default will have any negative effects, but I now have Album Art in the media controls when launched from the Application overview in Gnome.

@NiceTortoise77 its still basically free except you have to continue to keep spending money to update it and the website says its totally free on the front page despite literally not being free. If you have never used the product before you need to pay, and if you want new features and bug fixes you also have to pay. Sounds free to me for suuure

I made an account just now to say the patreon is very offputting. Dont advertise on the front page of the website that this is free and available on github when the new releases are behind a paywall. If you had a one time fee for lifetime membership, or even if it was free and donation based, I would be so much more inclined to support you. But youre genuinely just lying about your business model and hoping people stay subbed. Im genuinely going to tell people if they find this product not to use it

+2 on this question. I can't see any behavior difference but playing the first N seconds or a random preview of tracks would be a great feature. That seems like what this was meant to be.

Hmmm, after several restarts, the sorting in my previous comment changed to be correct with all 4 being under H, and others fixed as well.

So ignore that.

But I like this, having them in Sort Order, as that's how I also keep my file collection folder names.

I can confirm that this issue is still ongoing; after a PC restart, strawberry started back up in Spanish.

@trincowski I'll correct it. This seems like a bug with strawberry since it is considering things it should not be. I would really like if it only obeyed the sync options used.

Does that mean flatpak currently offers dark mode? I don't see that option in my app installed via .deb file.
