1. Find an album name with a hyphen/dash in it, e.g. "Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)"
2. Make 2 new playlists with that album in it.
3. From playlist 1, copy that name exactly (I love that you can hit F2 to make editable)
4. In playlist 2, paste that name in the search bar. Nothing is returned until you delete the hyphen/dash.

The multimedia buttons on my keyboard (Logitech G213) work at startup but conditions seem to be able to make them stop working for Strawberry. The volume/mute keys still work.

Condition candidates:

• Standby & resume
• Add new HDMI source (TV turned on, causes screen config changes, screws up Strawberry window a bit, resulting in double mood/progress bar)

Notable: If I open Rhythmbox, the multimedia key functionality is repaired for Strawberry.

@rlkeeney RL do you happen to know if one can search the lyrics field?
I've started to manually enter lyrics for lots of deep house tunes which typically only have a few lines, and often an unrelated track name, so being able to search for
"specific sentences of lyrics"
would be really useful. The default search bar searches multiple fields including Comment but not lyrics, it seems.

@jonas sorry to tag you / bump this mate; any chance you have an idea why Strawberry is behaving this way?

The playlists are in the Collection folder (/Music) subfolder (/Music/playlists) and auto-imported fine. But saving new playlists doesn't populate them to the Playlists tab list.

I tried a full rescan, but I don't have to do this for new music.

I just tried saving the playlist as m3u8 instead of m3u but that didn't change things either.

Hi Jonas, I have a similar thing, just tried integrity check, came back clean. Might be I'm doing something wrong but it seems like it should be simple.

I think Strawberry auto-loaded my old existing .m3u playlists from /music/playlists, which is nice.

I created a new one, added a few tracks, and saved as .m3u in the same folder. But it doesn't show up in the playlists left tab list. I can load it manually, it'll open as a tab (playlists tabs are great btw!), I can edit & save it. But it's never in the playlists left tab list upon re-open. I believe it IS present in the playlists top tabs if I left it open.

Do you have any info on the background process which causes the playlists left tab to be populated - or not? Thanks!

The search function seems very powerful, evidently searching within the ID3 comments field, and (per a github issue) the filename also, but I'm failing to work out how to search specific fields, e.g. track name, as opposed to searching everything. Is this possible? If so this would be great, not only to avoid getting various lower-quality hits (e.g. where the artist or filename of interest is mentioned in the comments of every track in a various artists album), but also to allow searching specifically comments or lyrics fields.
