@trincowski I'll correct it. This seems like a bug with strawberry since it is considering things it should not be. I would really like if it only obeyed the sync options used.

RE: Album Synced to Various Artists Folder Incorrectly.posted in Technical Help
Tested again today with the latest. I also looked into each album that ended up getting put into the various artists folder incorrectly.
It seems that the sync to device feature takes into account ALL tracks in an album regardless if they are all being synced or not.
What I would like strawberry to do is only consider the information of the tracks being synced to the device when applying the sync options.

@Mei93
Yes that setting is disabled. From what I'm aware that setting only applies to how the collection is displayed in the application. This issue is how strawberry and previously clementine sort tracks that are being synced to a device. -

The issue still occurs on Version 1.2.18.

@jonas
I have enabled that logging. This is the output. Is there a way I can trigger strawberry to look for devices to mount? I've notice there is a console option under tools.
The volume name on the device I'm testing with is 16GB, it is a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive.03:25:49.153 DEBUG unknown Socket name is "kdsingleapp-user-strawberry"

RE: Unable to see USB Device for sync Fedora 43posted in Technical Help
Unfortunately when launched from the terminal strawberry outputs nothing. Is there a flag I can launch it with to output something that could help show what is going wrong?

RE: Unable to see USB Device for sync Fedora 43posted in Technical Help
I've tried multiple formats, NTFS, FAT32, and none of them show up. All of the discs work fine as I can manually copy files to and from them.
Syncing music to a device is the main reason I use strawberry as was the main reason I used clementine. Whatever isn't working also effects clementine.
It would be nice to also have some way of refreshing the devices tab instead of quitting and starting strawberry every time to check.

For more information, these USB devices are being mounted in the normal expected directory of /run/media/user/Music

Unable to see USB Device for sync Fedora 43posted in Technical Help
Strawberry 1.2.16 cannot see USB devices to sync a playlist to. This worked in Fedora 42.
The device is one I have always used when syncing, it is remembered by Strawberry, a FAT32 formatted 256GB USB flash drive. -
RE: Strawberry reads new "sort" tags instead of the traditional tags when sorting.posted in Technical Help
Had another instance of this happen today. This bug is very annoying. Just revert back to the old behaviour of listening to the correct tag.

RE: Strawberry reads new "sort" tags instead of the traditional tags when sorting.posted in Technical Help
@jonas
I have already gone through my library and removed all entries in the "Album Artist Sort" tag using a tagging tool to mass delete these entries.
The behaviour I saw was if there was an entry in the "Album Artist Sort" tag that did not agree with the "Album Artist" tag, the Sort tag was given priority when sorting the tracks. On my playlist I use the Album Artist tag to sort and do not have the Album Artist Sort tag displayed.As for the second issue; https://forum.strawberrymusicplayer.org/topic/1431/album-synced-to-various-artists-folder-incorrectly
What was found in that issue strawberry was taking into account tracks that were not on the playlist when copying tracks over.
