@jonas Nice to hear that. I think this is an interesting feature but it should be optional as most people prefer to sort by the first name of the artists. (Now I have to go all the way down to M to listen to Alanis, ehehehehheh!)

RE: Album Synced to Various Artists Folder Incorrectly.
@CharAznableLoNZ I've just tried it.
No problem here if I just use tracks 1-9:
If I add tracks 10-12, then it goes into Various Artists. This happens because the "Album Artist" on the last track is CAKE instead of Cake.
Other than that, all is correct and works just fine on my system. (Strawberry Version 1.2.13 for Linux)
Since you say you're not using this last track, I don't really understand the problem... Sorry if this doesn't help. I tried...
It looks like Strawberry is taking in consideration ALL 12 files when syncing even though you only select 9 of them. If that's the case, correcting the Album Artist of Track 12 might solve the issue.

RE: Album Synced to Various Artists Folder Incorrectly.
@CharAznableLoNZ That's strange... Unless you can share the files somehow, I can't understand what is happening. Do you use Soulseek, by any chance?

RE: smart playlist on genre
@olem Could you explain it better, please? I don't get what you're trying to do.

RE: Album Synced to Various Artists Folder Incorrectly.
@CharAznableLoNZ I think this could be the problem:
You have both "Album Artist" and "ALBUM ARTIST" tags. Please delete the second (IN CAPS) and check if that solves the issue.

RE: Album Synced to Various Artists Folder Incorrectly.
@CharAznableLoNZ said in Album Synced to Various Artists Folder Incorrectly.:
1.1.3 has the issue as well.
Can you open the folder with Kid3 and check if the Album-Artist is really the same in all tag versions? Or if there's a iTunes Compilation tag set in any of the files?

RE: No source tarball on the website for 1.2.0?
@knuxify It's still in development, 1.1.3 is the last release.

RE: Library incomplete
@JMinE-K I encountered that issue several times, since it was still called Clementine. One easy way is to remove all the folders from the Library.... then when it's empty, go back to the settings and re-add the folders. That usually does the trick.

RE: Is there a repair/rebuild option without loosing data?
@marneu You don't use Timeshift?
Is the "strawberry.db.bak" also corrupt? -
Obsolete ID3v1 / Ape Tags
Hello there!
I've noticed that the player always adds ID3v1 tags to the files every time I update something.
These tags are obsolete and shouldn't be added unless the user really wants it (for some weird reason).
I find myself having to use Kid3 to strip these tags over and over again...
I suggest adding an option in the settings to define this behaviour. Something like:
When writing ID3 Tags:
- Write (or Add) ID3 v1 tags
- Strip ID3 v1 tags
A similar setting could be added for Ape tags... but since the player doesn't enforce them, that's not an important issue at the moment.
Do you have any plans for implementing something like this?

RE: Strawberry not finding new files or allowing drag and drop
@jonas From what I saw, there is a difference in the paths.
My collection on the .deb version looks like "/home/Music" and in the FlatPak version it was something like "/run/usr/1000/music"

RE: Strawberry not finding new files or allowing drag and drop
Hello there!
I'm new here but I've encountered the same issue when I installed the app from Flatpak.
On the other hand, after downloading the .deb file and installing it, the app worked just fine.
