Hi, now I tried to activate Pulse and then choose "Output to a sound card via ALSA" in Strawberry and under "Device": "Automatically select" instead of the name of my sound card.

Now audio seems to work simultaniously in firefox and strawberry.

But pulse is active. Is that a problem for sound quality despite the fact that I have chosen "Output.... ALSA" in Strawberry?

OAuth login works here both with Firefox and Chrome, Linux and Windows. I've tested on macOS with Safari, but that was a while back.

On linux the critical part is that the .desktop file is installed and the "mimetype" entry contains x-scheme-handler/tidal.

For Windows Tidal must exist as a URL Protocol in the registry, this should be done by the setup https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry/blob/db6aac603c7f557731a1ba3a13817e9c3b69770a/dist/windows/strawberry.nsi.in#L701
This conflicts with the official Tidal app, so if you installed the Tidal app after you installed Strawberry, it will probably stop working with Strawberry.

But this doesn't get triggered before you get a successful login on Tidal when forwarded to Tidal by Strawberry. if you get an error there, the App ID could be wrong.

I don't remember where I got the App ID from. It was long ago, 2018 I think.

@dhinaghena Hello, almost all previous versions of the program are available on GitHub, but I have not been able to see which version would be correct either. I also don't understand why developers don't take into account those who can't or don't want to update.
One thing is that due to the changes that occur over time and the different libraries and functions used, they are forced to raise requirements. That's right. But if there are fully functional previous versions, which are also available to users, as in this case (fantastic, it is one of the best reasons to use these programs), the logical thing to do is to indicate both on the download page and in the version notes. when those changes happen.
What's more, those notes include thousands of notes that developers love and understand, but not the common user. But nothing in relation to the actual use of the program. And the first step is that: indicate the requirements and when they change.

Strawberry supports saving playlists with relative paths,
Go to Tools / Settings / Playlist and select "Relative" or "Ask when saving" under "When saving a playlist, file paths should be".
When you save the playlist in d:\music, the paths should then point to directories / files without d:\music.
This way you can copy the playlist files over on the other computer to the same music directory on a different drive.
Another option is to simply edit the playlist file in a text editor and do a find/replace of d:\ with e:\
