I had to remove it since Genius changed their web pages, many times it was showing only partially lyrics, and Genius keeps changing their web pages, continuously breaking the lyrics parsing. It's also pretty messy to parse HTML instead of using an API.
It's not possible to get full lyrics from the Genius API, and their search is also very bad, so I finally just decided to just remove it.

What OS and version of Strawberry is this?

I'm aware of an issue with the playlist row colors on Windows using the windows11 style. You can change the style in Settings / Apperance / Style, set the style to windowsvista, or turn of the alternating row colors like already suggested.

Just looking at one of my FLAC files and its metadata, tagged by SongKong (pulling from MusicBrainz), I see the following pertaining to dates:

<ORIGINAL_YEAR>1976</ORIGINAL_YEAR>
<ALBUM_YEAR>1997</ALBUM_YEAR>
<ORIGINALRELEASEDATE>1997</ORIGINALRELEASEDATE>
<Recorded_Date>1997</Recorded_Date>

@jonas when is this likely to be? as i'm not happy going through the Windows mixer as it ruins the sound.
I'm quite happy to test out beta versions if you want a tester?
As it stands now I have bought the latest version which gives me no benefit than to the last free one for my use case.

I'm not sure if that happens with a particular album or all of them. And the text of the error may help someone to figure out what's happening. What is it?

Just a couple of tips adding to the suggestion by silver-sun (which is the safest for important playlists, since an external file will survive an eventual database corruption):

Use Undo to fix a mistake during the current Strawberry session. Keep in mind that the undo history will be lost if you close the player.

We have starred (favorite) playlists, which are kept in the sidebar tab "Playlists" after being closed in the playlists pane (so, there's less chance of spoiling them), and are updated on the fly when open, like regular ones. To add a favorite, right click on the playlist tab and choose "Star playlist"

You may find the combination of external, regular and favorite playlists that suits you best. For example, an external as backup to save every now and then plus a favorite (even also a regular one). Or two favorites: a do-not-touch version for reference/backup and another one to play with safely.

For sure, it is not an optimal solution, but it works fine for me for a couple of weeks now.

It works here with the latest release 1.2.11, if you got an option for "OAuth", it's an older release of Strawberry, the latest OAuth is always being used.
Strange errors might happen if there is a incompatible client id used.
